News of 2016 from the Ballard family:
Our reunion this year was at Seven Peaks Water Park near our home in Utah. We had SO much fun together as a family!
Our son, Ryan, took a new management position which means his family is moving to Portland in December. We will miss having them close by! We have another Eagle Scout in the family: Ethan (Tamsen's son). Her son, Braeden, is now attending college at the Utah Valley University. Amelia (Kevin's daughter) was baptized this year. His son, Nathan, just achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. We had some lovely Temple trips together as a family - including baptism trips when grandchildren turned 12. Each grandchild is involved in so many sports and activities that it keeps us hopping trying to attend as many as we can! (Irish dance competition, gymnastics, volleyball, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, choir, band, piano recitals, spelling bees, etc.!) In addition, Suzanne teaches Relief Society and Russ teaches Gospel Doctrine in our Ward. Russ had an amazingly productive garden this year and Suzanne enjoyed preserving the fruit of his labors.
Due to some serious health issues, we will now be living in the winter on the coast in Washington State. We are hoping the moisture, fresh non-polluted air, and stress-free environment will do us both good. An added benefit will be that we will be closer to 3 of our children and their families for part of the year. We will miss being with our two Utah families for the holidays.
